New Church Building
"For where two or three are gathered in My name, I am there in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20

Building a new church has been on the hearts of Imbler Christian Church members for more than a decade, with the hope and vision that it will provide even more discipleship opportunities in our community. After years of careful consideration and following God's timing, we began fundraising for our building in 2008. Leroy Stolle, our former pastor, began a summer-long yard sale at his home across the street from ICC to begin collecting funds, ensuring that the project remained debt-free. In the first year, he raised more than $11,000! Check out this great La Grande Observer article for the full story.
Following several years of diligent fundraising, matched with generous giving from church members, ICC slowly but surely began breaking ground. We have built the church by faith—piece by piece and as the funds allow—always relying on the Lord to fulfill our needs when he sees fit. Today, the church stands nearly complete, and as envisioned, debt-free! We will open the doors in the near future, and we hope to eventually provide a preschool and after-school activities to students, and a variety of other programs, resources, and events that will enrich the community with Christ's love.
"For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay." Habakkuk 2:3.
